Grido ("the app") is a free daily logic puzzle game developed by Exstve, available at grido.net. This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use Grido, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Grido collects two categories of information depending on how you use the app:
Without an account (guest play): No personal information is collected. Your best times, daily streak, and puzzle progress are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
With an account (optional): If you choose to create a Grido account, we collect:
Account creation is entirely optional. All puzzle features are accessible without an account.
Account data is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend-as-a-service platform. Your email and profile data are stored on Supabase's servers. You can review Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled entirely by Supabase's secure auth system.
Grido includes a Puzzle Editor that lets you create and share custom nonogram puzzles. Custom puzzles are encoded entirely client-side into a shareable URL or code string. No puzzle content is sent to or stored on our servers — sharing a custom puzzle means sharing a link that encodes the puzzle data directly. We do not have access to the contents of custom puzzles.
The leaderboard displays your chosen username and best puzzle completion times publicly. If you do not want your times to appear publicly, you can play without creating an account, or you can delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@grido.net.
Grido displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may collect and use data to serve personalized ads in accordance with their own privacy policy. This may include your device's advertising ID and general location data. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
Grido uses Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand how players use the site. This collects anonymised usage data such as page views, session duration, and general location (country level). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You can opt out using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
Grido uses browser localStorage to save your game progress, streak, and best times locally on your device. If you sign in, Supabase may set session cookies to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are set directly by Grido.
Grido is a general audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please contact us at contact@grido.net and we will promptly delete the account.
To delete your Grido account and all associated data (email, username, scores), email us at contact@grido.net with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will process your request within 7 days. Local data (localStorage) can be cleared at any time through your browser's settings.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of Grido after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at contact@grido.net.
